Christmas in July

While I sit around and eat bon bons between work, kids, church duties, etc I do not have a ton of spare time, but there are pockets of my day where I have a desire to create something. . .anything!! A couple of my friends are really into making jewelry and apparently gave me some sort of virus. As you know some viruses are contagious so you better watch out.

If you are really nice and leave me a message in the form of a comment about how much you love my new hobby, Christmas might come a little bit early for you. I have several friends and family members who have some sort of "comment phobia" who I would really like to see show me a little comment love here. You know who you are!!! Friends and family are eligible for the give-away.

For my regular commenter's, thank you so much and I would really like to do a Christmas in July give-away. I will send a cute pair of earrings to a commenter and the comments will close on Friday, July 25th. Please tell me in your comments what your favorite hobby is!! Have a great day and Merry Christmas!

I love the jewelry. I can see how it could be very addictive though and my family might starve if I get into this. I forgot what my hobbies used to be, that's pathetic! P.S. I heard that your evil cat really likes your beads too.

Jewelry-making looks like a very cool (and potentially profitable) hobby!
My hobby is bow-making; I have a five-year-old daughter and she has hairbows to match (almost) every outfit. I have made the odd bracelet from time to time, to coordinate with a certain set of bows, but nothing along the lines of what you're doing - keep up the beautiful work!

Looking beautiful! You're right, hobbies are contagious. I'm currently working on greeting cards and little gift boxes from pretty papers. Thanks for sharing your talents.

Hey woman...I don't see how you can even fit this into your hectic schedule. Love all the jewelry. I think your's is as pretty or prettier than the premier stuff you used to sell. My favorite hobby is reading (in a bubble bath), which I only get to indulge in a couple times a week. Also gardening and DIY projects. I know I have some creative spark inside of me, but haven't found the outlet for it yet. I might have to try to make jewelry too!

I know what you mean about comment phobia. Heck, I can't even get RL friends and family to LOOK at my blog. What is up with that? How hard is it????

I've always wanted to learn beading. Congrats on your endeavor!

I've been thinking of doing a giveaway on my blog, too. Nothing like free stuff to bring folks out of the woodwork! :)

Okay, so I would love some of your jewelry :) It looks really awesome! I have thought about starting this particular hobby but I would run out of money and my kids would starve because I would quickly become an addict. That or Emma would manage to get to the supplies and stick them up her nose, in her ear, in Owen's ear, etc. (Did I tell you she climbed our 6 ft. bookcase to get to a basket on the top the other day?) Hopefully when they get a little older I might be able to look into it. I bet Lily would really enjoy it too. She likes to create.
