How to give life to old chips!

I thought of my Works for Me Wednesday post in the middle of the night last night! Exciting life I have! :)

This works especially great for tortilla chips and really I have not tried other kinds of chips. If someone, not naming any names Hansel and Gretel forgets to clip the tortilla chip bag (which by the way is a staple at our house) then we revitalize them in the oven. All you do is put the tortilla chips on a baking sheet and turn the oven to be about 350 degrees for about 5-8 minutes and voila you have yummy Mexican Restaurant quality tortilla chips. Hot and fresh! Hope this works for you to save you money and give life to those old chips in the pantry.

If you have more revitalizing tips for me, I would love to hear about them. As always, check out Works for Me Wednesday to learn more tips to save time and money! Have a great day.

This is great! I have some of those "oops I forgot the chip clip" bags of tortilla chips in my cupboard right now!

This is a terrific tip...

except my five kids inhale a bag of chips in 5 minutes!

Leftovers? What are those?

I just had to pop over here to figure out what kind of chips you were talking about. Poker chips? Computer chips? Paint chips? It never occurred to me that it would be tortilla chips! Doh! I guess that's because they never stay around long enough to get "old" in our house :-)

Great idea. I do like them hot. Add some sea salt to them and you have some flavorful chips with low sodium.
